On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, the Wonderworking and Myrrhstreaming "Hawaiian" Iveron Icon of the Mother of God will travel from her home in Hawaii to Los Angeles for a special visitation. The visit coincides with a Pan-Orthodox Unction Service that will take place at the Protection of the Mother of God Russian Orthodox Church in Hollywood, CA.
The Wonderworking Icon was earlier present in San Francisco for the Lenten Clergy Retreat and was brought to Arizona for the edification of the faithful there, this will be the only visitation to Southern California this Lenten season.
The Holy Iveron Icon will be escorted to California by Priest Athanasius Kone, while her caretaker, Ipodiakon Nectarios recovers from a life-threatening illness.
